Jack is a stunning looking black/ticked 3 year old (this month) GSP lad.

He is being rehomed due to a change in family circumstances whereby he is not receiving the attention and training he needs, allied with some recent conflict with an older dog in the family.
Jack is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and docked.
He is crate trained and 90% house trained (see more information below on this).
He is a typical very friendly GSP. He does live with small children, but with limited access due to his exuberance.

He currently lives with an older GSP male, and two 3 year old Dobermans - a bitch and a dog. Until recently, all 4 got on very well, however since the Doberman bitch was removed from the group whilst recovering from leg surgery, the 'pack' dynamics have changed, and Jack is now conflicting with the older GSP (of whom he is scared), and they are fighting. Jack has also recently had a go at another dog whilst at the vet - but this may be nothing more than a situation caused by 2 stressed dogs meeting in a confined space (the doorway).
Due to time constraints, Jack has not had much formal training in recent times, and spends the majority of his time running free in the current owners dog-secure large acreage. He does however walk reasonably well on the lead (after initially pulling), and knows 'sit', 'come', 'stay' and 'no'.
Currently Jack has limited access to the house, hence why his house-training would need some work.
Jack is a typical young GSP from German bloodlines, so is very 'hunty' and has been known to take rabbits and birds as well as on one occasion, a deer (probably aided by the Dobermans).
Jack is fine to be left in the secure grounds. However if left in the car he barks.
Jack has not lived with or met cats, but he is likely to chase them, so would not be suitable to be rehomed with cats.
Jack is in some ways under-socialised, so that would have to be worked on. His recall is also poor (in the environs of his home field), and would likely to be difficult initially ouside.
Jack is a lovely dog who is looking for an expereinced GSP home who understand the nature of a very 'worky' dog. He would need firm and consistent handling to get the best from him. He would not be suitable to rehome with young children, but could be fine with older teenagers. He will need a lot of training to get him under consistent control and to bring out the best in this challenging lad. Ideally, he will need a 'job' - whether that be real gun-dog work, or obedience, agility, fly-ball or similar to make use of his intelligence and energy.

Jack is currently living near Exeter, Devon
